Welcome to AccountGPT

Hello there!

Outside of regular work, we started exploring how to build a co-pilot for Certified Public Accountants (CPAs), Enroll Agents (EAs), and/or Tax Practitioners for about 2 hours a day on weekdays and about 8 hours on weekends. I will tell you why in a bit.

Many of you have heard about ChatGPT, OpenAI, and other large language models (LLMs). If you haven’t, please go to Twitter or Linkedin, or other social media handles; they are all over by now. As an accountant, we should be doing something to make our life easier after reading all these. As such, it bugged me for months until I spent listening to Lex Fridman's podcast with Marc Andreessen for probably 10 times. (Be aware it’s a 3+hr pod). I WAS MOVED when I heard about the Future of the Internet, Technology, and AI. I have linked the clip below that struck my head for a week since it came out.

  AccountGPT- A co-pilot for Tax Advisors

We have been in the tax industry for many years and constantly struggle with researching and finding the correct answer when needed. Suppose when it comes to real complex questions around Tax or Tax Planning, Good luck. 🤣 I would get to the answer, don’t get me wrong, I am not that terrible CPA, but it would take me a while, sometimes, days to get to the correct answer. We are here to solve this to provide true co-pilot for Tax Advisors so they can get 100X speed in their daily ops.

After chewing the problem for years, but finally (Thanks to LLMs), we are putting our heads down to start a company to explore the power of AI for Accountants.

We are not sure what this will look like 6 or 12 months from now, but we know it will help us be a better Tax Advisor to advise our client.
